This policy explains what personal information Codolla Skills Lab collects, why we collect it, and what we do with it.

What we collect

• Account details — your name, email address, telephone number and password.
• Profile details — your institution or organisation, programme or profession, level of study, city or region, learning interests, current skill level and whether you have access to a laptop. A profile photograph is optional.
• Learning records — enrolments, attendance, lesson completion, assignment submissions, grades, feedback and certificates.
• Payment records — the amount, date, reference, payment method and the mobile money number used. We never see or store your PIN, and full card details never reach our servers.
• Technical information — IP address, browser type and pages visited, used to keep the service secure and working.

Why we collect it

• To create and manage your account and enrolments.
• To deliver classes, track progress and issue certificates.
• To take payment and provide receipts.
• To send you information about your classes, deadlines and results.
• To send you occasional course news, if you agreed to that. You can withdraw that agreement at any time without affecting your enrolment.
• To meet our legal and accounting obligations.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your information. We share it only with:

• Hubtel, our payment provider, so that payments can be processed.
• Our email provider, so that we can send you messages.
• Meeting platforms (Google Meet, Zoom or Microsoft Teams), when you join a live class.
• Authorities, where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Account and learning records are kept while your account is open and for as long afterwards as we need them to verify a certificate. Payment records are kept for six years to meet accounting requirements.

Your rights

You may ask us to show you the information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it for marketing. Write to hello@codolla.com and we will respond within thirty days.

Security

Passwords are hashed and never stored in a readable form. Payment credentials and meeting links are encrypted. Files you upload are stored privately and served only through short-lived links to people entitled to see them.
